( votes)MiniStars is a day nursery in Streatham Hill for children aged 6 months to 5 years. It is run in the church hall of St Margaret’s church on Barcombe Avenue.
MiniStars limit the class size to 26 children to make sure each child gets sufficient care. They are open for 50 weeks a year. The nursery is closed for 1 week at Christmas time and for 1 week during the August summer holidays.
Ofsted reports
MiniStars have been inspected by Ofsted five times between October 2004 and April 2015. They received a “Good” rating by Ofsted in April 2015, September 2011, February 2008 and their first inspection in October 2004.
Ofsted however raised concerns about MiniStars in it’s November 2006 inspection report. Ofsted rated a number of areas of their child car provision as “inadequate”. It looks like the management of MiniStars have worked hard to improve the nursery since the 2006 Ofsted inspection.

Prices
MiniStars charge the following prices per week. The cost of child care depends on the age of the child. They charge a £20 registration fee when you child’s name is put on the waiting list. They require a non-refundable deposit of 2 weeks fees before your child starts at the Nursery.

MiniStars offer part time options for children between 2 and 5 years old. Mornings cover 8:00am to 1:0ppm and afternoons are 1:30pm to 6:00pm.

Arrival and collection times
- Arrival is between 8:00am – 10:00am
- Arrival for afternoon sessions is no earlier than 1:30pm

- There is late charge of £5 for every 10 minutes after the end of the session
